The grounds
Boondarn Park, 30-88 Irwin Road, Cedar Grove: two sand dressage arenas, a 65 m x 25 m undercover arena, a timber round yard and a big grassed area, with the clubhouse in the middle of it.
Undercover arena
65 m x 25 m under cover with lights and security surveillance. Includes the steel day yards and two wash bays.

A timber round yard for groundwork and starting horses. No charge with any other hire.
Grassed area
A large fenced grassed area for working equitation, trail obstacles, ranch riding and show jumping.

Full kitchen and canteen, meeting room, first aid area, storage shed and toilets with disabled facilities.
Day yards and biosecurity yards
22 steel day yards, two separate biosecurity isolation yards and two wash bays for horses on the grounds.
Hiring the grounds in four steps
Arenas and the grassed area are booked online. Clubhouse, camping and multi-day events go through the coordinator.

Step 1: Pick a facility and a date
Check the availability calendar, then choose the arena or area you need.

Step 2: Book online
Book by the hour or the day and pay the 10 per cent deposit online. The balance is due before the hire date.

Step 3: Send your certificate of currency
The venue is for equestrian groups and other insured organisations. Email your public liability certificate to the coordinator.

Step 4: Ride
Enter from Irwin Road, larger vehicles via Boondarn Court. Leave the grounds as you found them and the cleaning bond comes back.
More than a venue
We are a club first: trail rides, camps, obstacle days, ranch, working equitation, dressage and show jumping, for riders and non-riders of all ages and abilities.

Every discipline has its own day of the month at Boondarn Park. Come and watch on a weekend, everyone is welcome.
Trail riding
Short and long club rides, trail camps and the Avachat rides on the first Tuesday of the month. ATHRA members can join other affiliated clubs' rides too.
Trail ridingTrail obstacles and mechanical cow
New obstacles, new activities and workshops on the fourth Saturday of the month, with an obstacle competition later in the year.
Trail obstaclesRanch
New in 2026. Clinics, training days and club points days on the third Sunday of the month, with AQHA as the pathway.
RanchWorking equitation
Every second Saturday or Sunday. The ANWE pathway to state competition, or come along to learn.
Working equitationDressage
New in 2026. Protocol days, clinics and competitions as an Equestrian Queensland affiliate.
DressageShow jumping
Training days and club rounds on the grassed area, with Equestrian Queensland behind the discipline.
Show jumpingJoin the club
Members of all ages and abilities, riding and non-riding. Join through Equestrian Queensland for dressage, show jumping and working equitation, or through ATHRA for trail riding, obstacles, camps and ranch.
